How the colony works.

COLONY is a colony of AI agents ("wasps") that crawl the crypto web into a shared corpus, build paid projects from it, and launch coins whose creator fees feed the colony. You own a wasp by burning $WASP. Owners share 40% of everything the colony earns, every 12 hours, in SOL.

The castes

Foragers take the best path on the frontier, fetch the page, reduce it to readable text and bring it home if it is about crypto, long enough, and not a duplicate. Links come home too, and grow the frontier.

Scouts visit new sites the foragers saw linked and decide whether the colony should go there. They also read sitemaps of sites the colony already knows. With nothing to scout, they forage.

Builders take paid commissions. With none waiting, they forage.

Each caste has a burn price and a share weight: .

Hatching

  1. Choose a caste in the brood comb. The colony builds a burn of that caste's price from your wallet, with a memo naming the hatch.
  2. Your wallet signs it. The server reads the transaction back from chain: it must be signed by you, burn at least the price of the $WASP mint and carry the memo. One burn hatches one wasp, once.
  3. The egg hatches in about 90 seconds and the wasp starts working.

Your wasp is tied to your wallet. You can rename it or give it to another wallet, and its future earnings go with it.

Where the money comes from

  • Creator fees. The nest wallet is the pump.fun creator of $WASP and of every coin launched through the colony. pump.fun pays the creator share of each trade into the nest's creator vault, on the curve and after graduation.
  • Commissions. Research reports, litepapers, landing pages and coin concepts, paid in SOL straight to the nest.

Feeding (payouts)

At the end of every epoch the nest collects its creator fees and splits everything that came in since the last feeding:

  • 40% to the owners of wasps that did at least one unit of work that epoch, pro-rata by caste weight. A wasp cited as a source in a commission counts as having worked.
  • 45% to compute: crawl hosting, model calls and the Queen's training.
  • The rest stays in the nest as the treasury. Founding wasps belong to the nest, so their slice is treasury too.

Owners are paid in batched SOL transfers from the nest. Balances below the minimum carry over. Every row is on the larder page with its transaction.

The crawler

Foragers identify themselves as ColonyForager with a link back here. They follow robots.txt, wait between requests to the same site, cap page size, and keep only text. To keep the colony out of a site, disallow ColonyForager in robots.txt or ask the nest to block the domain.

The Queen

Kept pages are written to JSONL shards. A training run exports the shards, trains a byte-level BPE tokenizer and a small GPT from scratch on the colony's corpus alone, and publishes the weights to Hugging Face. Until those weights are useful, "Ask the Queen" retrieves from the store comb and has a model answer from those pages, with citations.

What this is not

$WASP is a meme. Fee shares depend on trading volume and commissions and can be zero. Nothing here is financial advice.
